Palin's answers are generated every time you load this page. It couldn't really get any more frustrating for Charles Gibson than the real interview. Reload the page to try again.
Palin v Charlie Palin: That's more than a heck of a lot of other senators and representatives did for us I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you well, it certainly does, because our, our next-door neighbors are foreign countries. Gibson: And you didnt say to yourself, Am I experienced enough? Am I ready? Do I know enough about international affairs? Do I -- will I feel comfortable enough on the national stage to do this? Palin: It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia I'll try to find you some and I'll bring them to you I think that the example that you just cited. Gibson: Didnt that take some hubris? Palin: A heck of a lot of unfortunately, that is the road that America may find itself on an eye is being kept on this very powerful nation, Russia- because they are right there.. Gibson: But this is not just reforming a government. This is also running a government on the huge international stage in a very dangerous world. When I asked John McCain about your national security credentials, he cited the fact that you have commanded the Alaskan National Guard and that Alaska is close to Russia. Are those sufficient credentials? Palin: Also and I believe that they too want to he's also known as the maverick though and as Sen. McCain has said. Gibson: I know. Im just saying that national security is a whole lot more than energy. Palin: And we are mavericks and we are mavericks I am a Washington outsider. Gibson: Did you ever travel outside the country prior to your trip to Kuwait and Germany last year? Palin: At the same time we know that inaction is not an option they're not waiting to see what Barack Obama is going to do uh well some decisions that have been made. Gibson: Have you ever met a foreign head of state? Palin: I certainly am and we are mavericks that was excessive, and an earmark like that - not even supported necessarily by the majority of Alaskans. Gibson: And all governors deal with trade delegations. Palin: I see the United States as being a force for good I'm not one of those who maybe came from a background of, you know, kids who perhaps graduate college as John McCain has been saying, and as I've on a much more local level been also rallying against is. Gibson: Who act at the behest of their governments. Palin: With lobbyists makin' deals with congress, and it's not gonna be accepted in a McCain-Palin administration implementing their will, not the power broker's will congress still allowed those dollars to come into Alaska, they did. Gibson: Im talking about somebody whos a head of state, who can negotiate for that country. Ever met one? Palin: As putin rears his head the maverick because we can't afford to lose. Gibson: You said recently, in your old church, Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God. Are we fighting a holy war? Palin: It's very important when you consider even national security issues with Russia because we can't afford to lose these central fronts in the war on terror.
